When news of this reaches Chiaki and Kana, Kana asks why their relationship has not progressed the same way; and Chiaki ends up clumsily attempting to kiss her. Ryōko becomes incensed when Masafumi asks to fondle her in the library. Kazuko finds Shin’ichi badly bruised under a tree and seizes the chance to make a move on him.
