Wan An was shocked to hear of Shuying’s ordeal. Shuying initially did not want to pursue the matter further as she was handling her parent’s funeral. However, with Wan An’s encouragement, she eventually went to the hospital to get her injuries checked. Wan An and Shuying relationship got better as a result. Wan An told Tianliang about Shuying’s parents death, but kept mum about Shuying being sexually assaulted.
